I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to do a softmod using this (Phantasy Star Online plus Japan version). I have a broadband adapter, official nintendo memory card, and action replay. I've seen reports that PSOloader will work with it, but that psul won't. In the tutorial at http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm it says I need both of those programs to get the files over for the softmod to work. I've looked through all the forums, so unless you have seen the answer to this EXACT question somewhere else please don't tell me to google it. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Hold on a second. You have an Action Replay, yet you want to use the PSO method?

Just load GCoS or Ninjamod on the Action Replay and use that. Hell of a lot easier and much more convenient.

Where would I load GCOS or Ninjamod from? What I'm trying to do is put the GCOS bios on my memory card using the PSO method, so I can later load it from my memory card using action replay. What method do you use? I think the only other way is to use SDloader with action replay, but I can't find an SD card adapter available at a reasonable price.

P.S. My action replay is not Max drive Pro with usb cable. Its just the cheat device for imputing codes.

Here is a direct link to the tutorial I want to use http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/content/softmod2.htm
Step 2 is where PSUL is required, so that is my dillema.

    No USB cable? Bummer.

As far as I know, the PSO loader is only meant for use with PSO Ep. I & II and doesn't work with Plus or Ep. III. At least that's what I've heard. Sorry I didn't mention that earlier.

I use a Qoob Pro, so I've never bothered with any other methods.

I'm getting a gecko adapter for SDloader, so no problem. I also got the Jap version of Phantasy Star Online plus, which is supposed to at least work with psoloader. If it works with GCS then all I would need is a backup (.bin) of someone's exploited memory card and I would be able to restore that onto my own memory card. So if anyone has an exploited memory card and can send me a backup image of it that would be appreciated, but it's not necassary.

I was under the impression none of the PSO Plus versions would work. Good luck with it though.

The japanese version of plus does indeed work. I use it and it works fine! Good luck!

Yeah I can confirm that it does work. So far I've only gotten it to work with PSOloader not PSUL. Now I want to find out if the action replay memory card can be exploited or not.
