    Hi,
I have created VCD's with Nero > When I am playing in my DVD player sometimes movie is fast forwardign and miss aligning the audio and Video and and setting back to normal mode atomatically. Why it is happening?. I have used smart ripper , DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc and nero tools for DVD to VCD. Any suggetions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

People get different results with burning through nero so a lot of problems cant be solved, they are usually because of your burner or stand alone dvd player!

The only advice I can give is,

1, Never burn over 4x for VCD
2, Dont have too much burning software on your computer (easy cd creator and nero on the main machine is hell!)
3, Never let nero encode anything for you, especially if its encoding from avi to vcd!
    4, Always use good media!

Check your stand alone's documentation and see do they have anything specific on the type of media it's best with or if it will play vcd1.1 or vcd2.0 (most dvd players play both, its an odd case where you will get this limitation!)

When you are creating vcd also, do you specifically use NTSC or PAL. I'm sure you already know I'm just checking, but PAL is used mostly in Europe/Austrailia and NTSC usually in America!

Thats the only advice I can really give and I hope it helps, Like I said, most of these problems lie with either the burner or the stand alone player!

    Thanks Dale,

Your tips really improved Quality of my VCD.

Firts thing I did was not Letting Nero to Encode and changed using NTSC to PAL system. Actually my stand alone DVD is Apex. One more doubt I already have Licenced version of Adaptec Direct CD and Create CD softwar but I am still using trial version of Nero. Dose it make any diifference if I use Adaptec software.

    Thanks.

First of all, who is Dale??? lol ;-)

I would recomment you use nero before i would adaptec to be honest. Or of course use VCDEasy if you want more features!
