Please supply ALL this information in this format: Type in these numbers or look under the battery to get the information. IMEI:Type (dial) *#06# , Firmware Version:Type (dial) *#0000# . Nokia: (Model) IMEI:############### (No spaces, no slashes) Network: (The Network the phone is locked to) Country: (The Country the above Network is in) Also any codes tried AND how many tries you have made. Without this, we can do nothing. You need to read the first three Threads on this Forum. http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/129 JG
Firmware Version:V 06.27(00) 07-07-2006 RA-8 Nokia: 9300i IMEI: 356246000071026 Network: vodacom or mtn Country: South Africa no tries
South Africa has always been a problem. What Network is the phone locked TO? That is; What Network is the phone from? What does it work with? Did the phone first come from South Africa? J
If this does not work, save time and take it to a Professional Shop. Your code: #pw+235715257320161+1# Your code:Try this ONCE and ONCE only. Remember, you only get 3 to 5 tries. If you enter the same code two times, that is two tries. To enter code: Make sure battery is charged. Remove SIM first. Power on. Ignore “Insert SIM” Press the # key. then press the "star" key (*) quickly to get the P and W and + Press * 3 times quickly for (p) \ Press * 4 times quickly for (w) IMPORTANT Press * 2 times quickly for (+) / and the rest of the code--- Begin with # and end with #. IMPORTANT!! Verify code before pressing the last #. Pay attention. You only have about two seconds. "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked. "Error code" wrong code. STOP tell me. "Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!! If nothing happens, code stays on the screen: Put in a NEW SIM from a new Network. Power on. Select UNDO with NEW SIM in phone. Enter code as above. Select OK. If it does not work, tell me: What happened? What message you got. What codes you tried. Above all, answer. JG
A professional with the equipment can help. But wait Let me get back to you. I'm going to call in the bigger guns. J
Almost appears that the code was entered with the sim in. If so, try the code with the sim out. If it still doesn't unlock for you, it can be unlocked by a professional with the correct equipment at a local cell phone, electronics repair shop. Try the below directions first without a sim if you haven't already. Joe did supply you with the same code that I would have used. #pw+235 715 257 320 161+1#
idid try it without the sim card yesterday and i would like to know if trying it again would not make me lose the maximum tries i have tried it 3 times.
Every try counts. Hardlocked explained. Nothing to worry about. Each phone is unique and requires its own code. "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked. "Error code" wrong code. "Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" or sometimes, simply "Phone Restricted" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!! You only get three to five FREE tries. If your phone is hardlocked, it means that you will not be able to unlock it with a code. Your phone WILL still work with the Service you have now. It will work. If you want to unlock it after it is hardlocked, you will need to take or send it to a professional unlocker. It requires expensive Hardware and Software. You will NOT break your phone. J
hello Please help me unlock IMEI: 354321007142724 Firmware Version: V05.22(01) 03-06-2005 RAE-6 Nokia: 9300 IMEI:354321007142724 Network: Orange Country: UK Thanks in advance
soomrox please start your own thread as i still havent had my problem resolved. JoeGons i have tried the code now the phone gets network from time to time but it goes and sometimes there is a network but i cannot make calls.
When you entered the code, what was the message? If it works with a NEW Provider's SIM it must be unlocked but Network coverage is another matter, Of course, you must activate a new SIM with the network in order to make calls but you should borrow a SIM that is working in another phone and try it. The question is, "Does it work correctly with a working Vodacon SIM?". Joe
The thing is it works with all networks but does lose reception from time to time sometimes it seems there is reception but i cannot make calls.could it be something inside the phone.
How does it work on Vodacom? Sounds like the new SIM is not activated. Try it with a SIM that is working well in another phone. J
