I'm sure someone here knows the answer to this, but it's confusing me. A site I d/l from has it's video files arranged like this - Pterydactal.avi.001 Pterydactal.avi.002 Pterydactal.avi.003 Pterydactal.avi.003 I d/l them in this format, and then I rename them so the .avi is the file extension (otherwise they don't work at all) If I try and play them, only the first one works. If I try to join or convert them, the same thing happens. Only the first one will work, the others will get an 'unrecognised file format' error. This happens regardless of the joining tool I use. I've also tried to use Nero to just make them straight into DVD's but I get the same error message when I bring in any files after the first. Interestingly enough when I play the first file, it always brings up the full information about the movie (in terms of total time etc) in the details area. I'm not an entire newbie to this but this one has got me confused. Thanks!
