join to avi files

    to join to avi files is it better to convert them to mpg first and then convert them in to 1 if so can i do this with tmpgnc please help me thanks a lot

    I think that it would be better to convert it to MPEG and then split it if you intend to burn it as a VCD. You can do it with TMPGEnc. First open up TMPGEnc and click on the Project Wizard. Then pick your file format (VCD,SVCD etc) and then click next. Pick your avi file and leave the settings the same on that screen unless you want to change them. Usually they're set for that file. After clicking next, a screen with options comes up. Click on the box that says Source Range and a window will appear. In this window you will be able to set where you want the first part to stop. It should be the middle. You have to move the arrow to the middle of the movie and then click Set End Frame. Click OK and then Next and another screen will appear asking you what size CD-R you will be putting it on. If you are not putting it on cd-r's just put anything like CD-R 80 Min (VCD/SVCD). After this click next and it will start to encode. Hope this helps.
