Join xboxlive! nd screen freezes :/

Hi all
I've been wanting to try xbox live for some time now
And clicked join xbox live on my xbox to do the trial
I filled in everything i did the network check if i could connect
Everything was good and nat was open
but the problem is when i create my xbox live gamertag
it says that i need accept the terms of agreement nd stuff
i accept and my xbox freezes
i called xbox helpdesk and went on the phone for half an hour
the guy who helped me said that i would be called back by someone who knows more about this in 72 hours because he and one of his collugues didnt know what was wrong with my xbox
but i wanted to post here because maybe someone knows a solution to my problem
