I've read a million guides on how to join avi files, but havent come across what to do with this error msg. I'm trying to join 2 avi files, then would like to convert to dvd. I'm using VirtualDub to join the avi files, but when I try to append the second segment, it says "Cannont append segment 'D:\movie2.avi': audio streams use different data rates" One tutorial then said to load VirtualDubMod to fix the audio first before I can join them, but when I load VirtualDubMod I get the same error. "Cannot append segment 'D:\movie2.avi': The audio streams have different data formats" Can anyone help me out as to what I need to do to join these avi files? Thanks in advance!!!
Try Avidemux. Drag the first file, then the second file onto the window. Set the left side menu as shown and 'Save'. Give the joined file a name (including the extension, e.g new.avi). http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avidemux.cfm
@kita24 In many cases 'yes' - but not with Avidemux. It's best to open a new thread in the Subtitles Forum with full details. This thread was started by ironmanDD and courtesy dictates that we stick to the point - lest the wrath of the Mods fall upon us all.
