joining mp3

    pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease can someone help me i have been trying to join the tracks of a mix album (such as euphoria and ministry of sound etc)but on playback you can hear the join where as the cd plays perfectly . i have been using mp3 splitter joiner and various others but all with the same result ? what am i doing wrong or am i just being thick ? is there one program that will rip join and convert it to mp3 or is that just wishfull thinking ?

    any help advice or just pointing in the right direction would be greatly appriciated

    There's a topic here about joining mp3 file using Audacity.
    It employs a method referred to as 'Find Zero Crossing'.
    This is supposed to find the point at the end (also, I assume the beginning) of a track where the rate of change of the wave is at its zero point, thereby eliminating the 'click' at the join point.

    To export mp3, the Lame mp3 encoder must be installed (else they are saved as .wav.
    If you click 'Edit' > 'Preferences' > 'Import/Export' there is a link to the download site.
