First off I consider myself relatively conversant with all DVD authoring/converting/encoding programs and general game loading/burning/copying etc. However, I have just downloaded the game Timeshift for PC and find they are split files - I have HJSplit and hav joined them, hav done this before with one other game, also and was able to mount the game files and install it. This time round I don't recognise any file types at all. Changing the extension to .iso or. rar does not help. (My folder options are set to not hide known file extensions). I have IsoBuster and Magic ISO, along with Daemon Tools but can't seem to get the right combination to make it work. Would dearly love to hear from anyone who may know if I'm missing a very obvious and commonsense step here somewhere. Cheers...
Try http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm drag and drop into gspot and it will tell you what codecs were used to create it, plus some other useful stuff.
Sorry.. what does a game download and gspot have to do in the same thread? OP.. can you please tell us what the file extensions are, otherwise we really can't help you.
