when you download video files, they usually come out as RAR's or BIN.

    RAR's - combatted with winrar
BIN - by extracting the WMP video file from within it with Ultra ISO.

now i have got one that wont read and I can't open it. Someone said I need to join the video files together and then extract a RAR file or something like that.

How do I join all the files together?

Ok, had a look in torrentspy and they look like rar files. These are often named .001, .002, etc. Unpack and you will get an avi, since the sample is an avi.

Would have been much easier if you had just said .001, .002, etc. rather than "unknown".

They look like they may be RAR's but I can't unpack them, as they are unreadable at the moment. Maybe I need another program besides Winrar for them to read.

Just because they aren't associated with winrar does not make them unreadable. Try opening the first one.

    great, problem fixed.

Opened the first two files. One was winrar file (but nothing would happen in winrar) the there was a ultraiso file but nothing would happen to it in ultraiso. I opened it in winrar (the second file) and it said, well ect. that it was an avi file and 700mb.
