Joining xvid`s

    I`ve got the ring in 2 seperate xvid ac3 encoded files.I wish 2 join them into 1 large file.I`ve tried virtualdubmod with no joy.I have all the latest codecs and ac3 filters installed.Any help would be gr8!!!

    Did you try appending the segments?

    yep, opened 1st file, appended 2nd file, saved as avi and then program says dub in progress.But when complete the file is blank eventhough the file size is about right for the two parts of the film.I think it has something to do with the ac3 sound?!

    Did you set the video to direct stream copy?

    of course!,I`ve joined other films,without ac3 sound together,with good results, but for some reason this one doesn`t want it.It plays ok in media player, ati player and in divx player, so I know that the film is ok.

    Have you tried converting the ac3 audio to mp3 then appending the videos?
