This maybe a stupid question as I can't seem to find any answers anywhere I thought I'd ask anyway as i'm new to the jtagging scene. I got an xbox 360 i'm going to Jtag and was wondering when its done is it possible to remove the dvd drive, replace it with a 1TB hard drive and then load games to the drive from a usb stick? Also another question I currently have 2 xboxs 1 completely untouched that is used to play games online the other is used offline to play backups. both use the same hard drive. If I use the hardrive from these on the 1 I intend to Jtag is this going to cause any problems when I then use the hardrive for playing on line if the above is not possible? Any other things that I need to know would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced
Are you looking to put the 1tb where the dvd drive was? If so, I wouldn't recommend it. That's right above the gpu. Putting a hdd right with the gpu is going to generate some serious heat. As for sharing the same hdd between consoles, you may run into problems if you use the hdd to store anything which shouldn't be there. I haven't read of anyone getting banned yet, but that doesn't mean it'll never happen.
Here is a video of a 3.5'' hdd mod. , I'm in the process of putting a 1TB drive in myself. Hopefully by the weekend.
There are plenty of pics of people who've done it. But why go through all that work, end up with something butt-ugly, a hassle to move around, a hassle to install games on (for those who don't ftp), when you can simply use a usb drive? I'm not saying it's a stupid idea... just pointing out some cons.
