That looks like your Jtag is wired correctly but you are loading the wrong Jtag image to it. You need to write to it with the 260 jtag image and then flash it with the 2.57eE fixed bin file.

All the info you need I have here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363

the 260 jtag was a success the fixed 257 bin file when using the gsrtomer to down load the file is saying to retry even after trying to download it 5 or 6 times will this be the only problem.also there is no digital diplay on the box

Sorry as I have to leave. If there is no display on the front of the Starview this means that the Jtag was unsuccessful. Have you got the box powered up when you are performing the Jtag.

Also follow the Jtag tutorial in the link I gave you earlier, this is quite a good tut for a step by step Jtag. I recommend you use a standalone pc and not a laptop, when using SkyMax.

If you are still having problems I may be back on later.

You need to flash the Starview with 2.57eE fixed for a clone box. You can find all the firmware/gtloader in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library. Loader in Starview Software Folder, Verison 2.57eE fixed in the Starview Firmware Folder.

Also make sure you are using a null modem cable similar to this one to flash the Starview:

Dazza you always seem to come back when i am leaving :)

The null modem cable is not used for jtagging, if thats what you are asking. It is used to flash the 2.57eE fixed firmware to your Starview. You use it between the serial 9 way port on your pc and the 9 way serial port on the back of your Starview.

Sorry thats me and I will not be back until Monday, so best of luck. if you are still stuck just post and I will keep my eye out for you.

No problem Dazza I am here for a for a few posts.I think your problem is the fact that you may be using a straight through RS232 lead instead of a null modem cable to reflash. As per the link I posted above.

Please go to the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library and download the Starview PDF Guide, this gives instructions on how to flash the Starview.

You have done the hard part in jtagging, the easy part should be flashing.
