Jumpy and Black&White converted DivX file

    I made a DVD+R With a DivX file by converting it with VSO DivX2DVD then made an ISO with DVD Shrink Then Burnt it with DVD Decriptor and it played fine on my DVD Player then i brought it over there house and it was black and white and jumpy and i put i diffrent DVD that i did the same way and it worked fine

    What am i doing?

    When you converted the file with VSO DivX2DVD, did you set the 'Standard' to 'NTSC' (for North America) or 'PAL', instead of 'Automatic'?

    If you live in the USA, Canada or Japan it's NTSC;Europe and Australasia is PAL.

    Yep- it's an NTSC/PAL issue. Some DVD players can play both without any setting changes, while other DVD players will need to be set for either NTSC or PAL. My home player is stuck on NTSC (I lost the freekin' remote), so I have to be sure all my conversions and movie burns are ALWAYS set to NTSC.....
