If you purchase the CK3 probe, you must get the connectivity kit whether it be the PRO or Lite. Personally, if you plan on doing more Lite-ONs, the connectivity kit and probe will pay for themselves. Plus, it is always nice to power the drive with a connectivity kit, rather than the XBOX 360.

Bhetrick has a nice tutorial on how to create a Lite-ON key reader. It is in the Ultimate sticky at the top of the page.

I followed the steps and got the exact results that were posted. However when I test the drive it doesnt recognize any disk. Any help would be appreciated.

I am sorry for not giving enough info. I followed the tut. and all my results mirrored the tut. Once I tested the drive i put in a game and it said reading dvd, and then went directly to the screen that just says XBOX360. I powered the system off and tried a differnt disk to no avail. I then tried a retail disk which did not read either.

Make sure you have a valid DVDkey. What does it look like?

The drive needs to be connected as it normally is. With the exception of your SATA cable from the 360 to the computer.

yes leerage thx for that but i read it somewhere that if i leave my av cables on the xbox i will get bricked?
so i will flash my lite on without a ck3 pro but only using a ck3 probe? is that possible enough and where do i connect the probe sata to where from where?

Yes, you need the AV cable plugged into the XBOX 360. If you are using the CK3 probe, you must use the connectivity kit in conjunction. If you don't feel that you would ever use the CK3 hardware again, and don't want to spend the money on it, send me a PM and I'll do it for you.

Yeah that would be a problem. :(

Well, if you get the CK3 probe, you will need to purchase either the Lite or PRO.

If you have friends with Lite-ONs, you will easily make back what you spent on CK3 PRO + Probe. If you got a set of small straight screwdrivers, you won't need the unlock kit.

Definitely, if you know what your doing, you can definitely make your money back. People tend not to want to do the Lite-ON themselves because of the initial cost of the hardware, or making the hardware.

To take advantage of the autload feature, the ix1.6 bin for Lite-ON must be named
    Code:
    ix16-liteon.bin
If it is ix16-liteon-repack.bin, Jungle Flasher will not find the ix1.6 bin for Lite-ON.
