hi all first of all thanks to all the people who have been hard at work doing these fixes for us, hats of to you people. We all owe you. I have a orignal starview 2 the box and it has version 4.54 on it. I have just got my cable and i am about to do my very first flash. My question is i have downloaded all the 4.55 stuff including the version 4.03 loader. However after reading through the posts one bit confuses me and thats this if you want to updrage from 4.54 to 4.55 you will need your old channel data file Where do i find my old channel file?? sorry if its a dumb question but i am really not sure what this means??? and when i do find it how do i put it on?? Don't Worry About That You Can Just Flash And Do A Rescan For Channels And Then Reorder Them To Your Wishes... The Problem Is The Channel Format For The New Firmware... And You Need To Convert From The 4.54 Format, To The New Format... You Need To Upload The Channel Data To Your PC... Then Convert... Flash Your Box With The 4.55 Firmware, Then Download The Converted Channel Data Back To The Box... The Convertor Software Is Under The Box, And Then In The Software Folder... hi mate thanks for your reply i am even more confused now!! If i just flash the version 4.55 and then do a re-scan for channels will that work ok? i am not bothered about them being in order as they are all over the place anyway and i will just sort them out when i get time.
