I'm in the process of building a new computer, but unsure which PSU to go for. So far i have the following:- Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 case. Asus Geforce GTX275 GPU. Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 ram. Going to go for the Intel Core i7 3770k CPU & the Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard. Thinking about getting another Geforce GTX275 & run them in SLI. So i'll need a PSU that's powerful enough & capable of SLI. Would prefer a Corsair PSU but not sure what series would be best. Which of the Corsair series (AX, HX, TX, GS, CX, or VS) would be best ? Also, would i be best selling the GTX275 & forgetting about getting another GTX275, & maybe go for a more powerful single card & maybe another in the future for SLI. The rig will only be for gaming. Thanks
Might be a bit late now - if you still need advice on this, I would advise against another GTX275 unless it's really cheap, as you won't need a new PSU if you swap the GTX275 for a modern card, which is more powerful than two GTX275s in SLI, such as a GTX670 or HD7950. You can get far cheaper (and more reliable) motherboards than the Sabertooth that do the same job, and unless you're doing video editing/production work, for games purposes an i5 3570K will be just as fast as the 3770K, so you can save some money there too.
