i don't know where everyone here lives. but i live in the us and i would just like to get a rough estiment of how much it is to get started to burn copies for my gmaecube?
Really it just depends on what you already have and how you want to set it up. The hard mods would be the high price and the soft mods would be the slightly lower, depending on whether or not you have the right stuff for it to begin with. Mod chips range anywhere from $30 to $60. Soft mods can cost up to $50 depending on how you set it up. This is just to get the GameCube ready. Throw in the price of a case mod if you decide to use full-size DVD-/+R ($30-$50). If you want to be able to back-up games yourself, you need a BBA (broadband adapter) that costs at least $30. Now about your PC. If you don't have a DVD burner, you'll need to get one. They're $80-$300 depending on the brand, compatible media, etc. Anything less than that is probably trash and not worth using, unless they've actually gone done in price without me realizing it. You'll also need to have burning software, but many burners come with them anyway. If you're lucky, you'll at least get a stripped version of Nero with the burner and be able to be ISOs at least. Now throw in the cost of the DVD media you decide on (mini or full size) and add up everything I listed to fit your desires and/or situation. Also, figure in an installation cost if you don't know how to get it up and running by yourself. Unless you've got a friend that's willing to help of course.
