anyone know whats wrong i just switched my old NEC DVD+r burner for this Philips DVD + R DL burner and now none of the drives show up but my local disk harddrive ne help would be appreciated thx.
If you have multiple optical drives on IDE, then look at the rear of the out going unit and note the jumper setting (master/slave). Make replacement the same setting. How'd you go?
aight man ill try it out seems like that makes sense. EDIT: it shows a diagram saying master and slave but in my bios it recognizes em and doesnt show up on explorer still i switch the settings around in the bios to off but that did nothing. eDIT: i guess it shows up in the disk manager and shows all exclamation marks and now that i switched my old dvd burner back it doesnt recognize that anymore and the settings on the bios r the same
