Just bought a new car ..time to get rid of the Talon TSI AWD for a new beast ...got victory red SS with red inserts ...picked it up yesterday and love it
as for Lexus ..they are sooo boring ...and not really my price range or look I am going for ....my dad has a new m45 which will batter the Lexus brand its rated at 205 but the dealer dyno'd it for me and it was making 215 at the wheels ..the stats are underrated (probably for insurance) as for the supercharger ..the whine is not bad at all (not noticeable at driving speed ...just when you gun it) I think its kind of cool ..I am partial to turbo as well (for now) ..more efficient and the rush you get is like no other ..but this car is fast and I am a big fan of any forced induction ..who knows I may love superchargers more after this car ..I must admit not having to wait for wheel spinning boost is quite nice oh and superchargers are just as expensive depending on the kind ...if you get a lysholm twin screw supercharger it will run you quite a penny where as a Centrifugal Supercharger will be relatively cheap
name a ford that can compete with what I have in the same price range ..brand fanboys are the worst ...the closest competition to my car is the SVT focus which will get walked all over as a side note I was ready to purchase a 05 mustang GT which I enjoy very much on the test drive ...however $7000 insurance was a little out of the range of reasonable
I didn't say there was a Ford priced that same that might beat it, I simply stated that Chevy sucks and I'd never want to own one.
you didn't have to ...if you would take a ford over a chevy any day. with that criteria if you were in my situation you would be riding in a inferior car becasue of your arbitrary brand bias it dosent make sence to say one brand is better than the other there are high and low points of all brands ...Ie the mustang is a high same with the GT however the ranger is garbage among others.
hope chevy does the same thing that ford did with the Mustang when they bring the Camaro back in 2007 .making it look like the 1969 Z-28 Camaro that would be the smartest thing chevy could do ( going for the retro look)
cobalts are cool, eh? keep up with teh reviews! i love 'charged beasts! hehe...i just got a Subaru Impreza on saturday. only rate at 165 horsepower, but that beats the crap out of Hyundai Accent i had (90 horspower). i know i can outrun a 98 GT mustang with about 350 HP, so i'm happy XD
