lilfree22 would be talking about UMD not Bluray, there are bluray burners because Bluray is set to be the next DVD so burners are a major part of it, home movies etc.

You'll never be able to purchase a UMD Burner. If one ever hits a store or eBay, Sony will sue your ass up and down the Eastern Seaboard.

There's no such thing as blank UMDs. Jesus...Sony only makes a UMD if it has a game or some other type of media content on it. They don't just randomly make blank ones. Even if they did, UMDs aren't burned, they're pressed together in a manufacturing process that's secretive only to Sony.

Because as soon as Sony starts selling blank UMDs, you can kiss the PSP's future down the toilet. Honestly, it'd be the downfall to the PSP if UMDs were made available to be burned.

Blue-Ray is the next DVD format. It's not a media disc that's strictly for a PSP or other gaming console. BR is trying to be the next DVD format while the UMD format is and will remain a format strictly for the PSP.
