just got a dslite, one question...

i just got my dslite, and i notice a tiny red dot in the center of the screen on the top when i play game, is this normal or is the one i got a defect? thx

 

if its there always, on every game, yep its a defect

 

It's just a dead pixel, don't worry about it. I have a blue one on my bottom screen but I hardly ever notice it. In fact, I had forgotten about it until I saw this topic.

 

if you bought it from a non-online store and still have the receipt and everything that came with it, you can take it back and exchange it, just tell them it has a dead pixel, and they'll give you a new one. You can probably do it from online stores as well, but I'm not so sure of it.

 

you also can send it into Nintendo and they repair it for free, i sent my fat one in and got it back in 7 days.

 

yeah i ended up sending it back to them. cost me 15 bucks to send through UPS, i just went outside and buy a new one. so i guess the good new is i got a working DS. also had anyone try playing the new mario game? i patch the game using game manager. but it doesn't start. i think when i start it shut down the machine, either that or the screen is just blank

 

a dead pixel on my psp killed my fun it bugged the hell out of me i hope that never happens to my ds

Mouse, have your updated to the latest firmware [bold]and[/bold] game manager (22b)?

 

Latest game manager is 22c Firmware: E22.. but he didnt say anything about having an M3?

 

he said he used game manager to patch it, is that M3 only?
