    Hi just flashed my s..view1 with firmware for s..view2 the box. Now it won’t take any other downloads to reverse what I’ve done. This was an accident I wasn't trying to be clever. If anyone can help would be grateful.

    You basically have one of two choices ...

    1. send it off for repair or JTAG'ing (there are a few people who know how to do it in the forum)

    2. buy a new one and stop tampering with it >:eek:)

    All you need to do is download the correct firmware for your SV, just make sure you don't put genuine firmware on a clone.

    Connect your pc to your SV, as normal. Make sure the SV is turned off at the power switch on the back.
    Now, fire up gtrom, select your bin file, click on the download button, wait a second or two, then turn on your SV at the power switch. The download should start. If you're lucky it'll work first time. It it doesn't, try again, from the start. It may take you a few goes, but it should go eventually.

    eamo32 worked after several attempts waited about 10 secs in the end done the job fine thank you again. I have one other question if i can be so bold. From reading the posts I see there is a cure for the autoroll which seems to be (CryptStar-v1[1][1].4-GenuineOnly) is this the correct file. ( how you keep up with so many questions in so many threads is beyond me, but the work you do and of course everyone else involved is great and I dont think you get enough thanks for it. ) So from me a very big thanks again and again.
    With thanks Peterw

    That file is for genuine SV only, do not put it on a clone.
    Check the vents on top of the box to tell what you have;
    First Generation = 13 x 7 vents
    Genuine = 25 x 7 vents
    Clone = 18 x 7 vents

    If you have a clone, use the 2.57eE_FIXED firmware. Both this and the CryptStar one can be got from the link at the end of my post, the eko site. They are in the Starview / Firmware directory.
    Just make sure 100% which model you have before downloading. The 2.57 will no longer autoroll, and as of yet, despite what some posters have said, there is no new firmware available yet to make SV clone boxes autoroll.
