Anyone having trouble with "Just Like Heaven"? I backed up Doom, Waiting, Elizabethtown, and Just like Heaven using AnyDVD in the background using Shrink and burning with Nero. Everything played fine on my Gateway DVD player except for Just Like Heaven. It just keeps going to stop. If I try to press menu nothing happens. I tried to run it through VOB Blanker and burn it again and it still does the same thing.
I didn't get any errors. I'm using Ridata DVD+R 8x (allways worked great for me). I tried putting it in my Cyberhome DVD Recorder and the menu screeen came up and it played fine. Every movie I have backed up until now has worked on the Gateway.
Just Like Heaven is nothing special, DVD Decrypter alone can rip it via Mode, File F to the hard drive flawlessly. I did it last night and it only took DVD Decrypter 14 minutes or so to rip. Good luck!!
@andmerr What's your ripping time(s)? It shouldn't take any more than 20 mins for this movie. If I remembered it correctly, it only took me roughly 14 - 15 minutes to rip using DVD Decrypter via Mode, File F. By the way, your new sig designed by Phantom69 is kind of cool.
was 14-15 minutes now 25-26, think i need to defrag , actually just looked at the analyse and its off the screen....thats the next step. Would you like a cool sig made by phantom, could ask him for ya
@andmerr Actually, I can do it myself using either GIMP or ADOBE PhotoShop CS 2, but I'm just really lazy lately. Phantom69 did asked me if I wanted a sig, then he'll make me one, but I haven't seen any pictures I like. I might let him know in the next few days (weeks). Or if I have more times, I'll dig around and mess with Adobe PhotoShop CS 2 and come up with something later on, but I'm cool for now. Back to your slow rip: yeah, maybe you need to run a "scan disk" or "defrag" your hard drive daily, or at least 3 times a week. I actually scan disk and defrag my hard drive daily, plus I dumped all of my cookies, temp folder, history, etc. everyday as well.
i just tried that ewido malware scan and its come back with about 70 issues, but i think i'll need to do the defrag now, over night and see if that picks my system up a bit............
Do you have Ad-Aware SE Personal from Lava-Soft, SpyBot S&D? or AVG Free? Those are pretty useful to have. I run them everyday to keep my system free from bugs and so far it's been running great.
Ok here is the issue that I found with Just Like Heaven and some other movies... Yes you can backup Just Like Heaven with Shrink & Anydvd running in the back ground MAIN MOVIE ONLY If you try to backup the whole DVD with menu's extras etc etc the dvd structure is messed up so it won't play right once backed up... so in order to back up the whole DVD with Shrink or recode 2 you need to use DVD Fab Decrypter to rip the DVD your Hard Drive then VOB Blanker to remove any bad/blank cells and this will fix the structure of the dvd so DVD Shrink or Recode2 will create the dvd correctly... FULL DVD DVD Fab Decrypter Vob Blanker Shrink or Recode2 Main Movie ONLY ANYDVD SHRINK or RECODE2
I had same issue yesterday used dvdfabdecrypter to copy files to hard drive then only shrink to compress nero to burn, plays fine.
I backed up tonight with Nero and DVD Shrink.Copies seems to work just fine on the Pc,ps2 and my sony DVD player.
