    Hi everyone,

Just taken the plunge into satellite (finally) and bought the Blade BM7000s after reading rave reviews about it.

Now, I'm no satellite expert (or an expert at anything lol) so I have a couple of questions while I wait for it to arrive.

    1. How easy is it to set up? Do I have to scan for channels etc or are there any channel lists already out there that I can load?

    2. Do I need to have a proper network cable into it or are homeplugs ok?

    3. Is my existing sly dish ok or will I need a new dish? (I dont need foreign TV).

Thanks in advance guys... cant wait.

1 very easy and ye u will have to scan and if your going cardshare route u will have to pay u will only get free sat if not.

2 never tried home plugs but best to have network cable straight to router

3 ye your dish should be fine

Well... got my Blade today... it is 'fkin awesome.

It was really simple to set up. The Blade online channel database is a really good feature. Didnt even have to scan anything, I just picked my area and boom, all the channels were there in the list.

I got to be honest, the HD picture quality on 1080p is breathtaking, really really good. I'd read that everybody said it was good quality and the Wotsat magazine said so too, but jeez when it came up on my 42" Sammy it made me grin from ear to ear LOL.

I'm off to have a play with it now. Might need a little help with some of the things like streaming and setting up some of the more enjoyable toys in it.

Well chuffed. Recommended 110% to anyone.

    Hi m8.

Yes I saw that but not sure what it was yet. two days in and it really is a good box. its really fast. Got the Blade Stream thing working last night... streamed Cowboys and Aliens from my pc to my tv and watched it perfectly.

it says in the readme for Blade Stream that u can stream your films to other people on the internet. Anyone done that yet?

    loving it.
