I just took out my old PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631 and put in my new PIONEER-116DB and now everytime I start my computer up it says Drive 5 not found, I go into the setup and under the drive 5 if says there is nothing there. I made sure all the cables are connected and working cause I put the old drive back in and my computer sees that one there. I mean the new one opens and it has power just my computer is being stupid. Now I'm not sure if there is more to installing a new one then just takeing the old one out and putting the new one in. Please help. Oh and it came as OEM so it was just the drive and nothing else.

Did you set the jumper the same as the old one? That is Master, Slave, Cable Select. The IDE Cable could be bad.
Could you try it in another pc? If it works - Check what I said. If it does't work BAD DVDRW.

    Burn On,
