Well I re-installed it because I screwed things up. I thought I knew what I was sorta kinda doing but obviously not because when I was done I rebooted and it wouldn't boot anymore :p

So now that it's fresh out of the oven, again, what do I do first? In english if you don't mind, please :D

Thanks to whoever helps me lol

What would be the first thing you would do after reinstalling any computer? First you might want to reinstall any emulators, flash and java for starters. After that you may want to look into how to update the kernal and possibly the entire os to 7.1 gutsy gibbon. The wifi fix didn't work for me and bricked my linux partition as well.

Lol other OSs you click a couple times and it installs everything for you... I'm just not too sure what I'm doing with Ubuntu... I want it for emus and internet and whatever, but I'm not used to all of this terminal crap...

If you need help with ubuntu you should probably check out http://psubuntu.com/

And if you need help installing Fedora 8 I recommend this guide http://www.bohmer.net/ps3_stuff/install-fedora-8-on-PS3.html

If you follow the guide in the 2nd one, you should have Fedora running on your PS3 in about 90 minutes (65 = installation). Then you just run internet and can probably find other small useful guides online to help you out. I am also using this for emulators and the only thing I am still trying to do is make the PS3 controller work bluetooth instead of USB port.

I've been lookin' at psubuntu all day... Was very helpful with the install but it lost me from there...

And Fedora 8? Is that better or something? Everyone tells me that this one is the best... Whatever plays lots of emus fast or at least has lots of support is good to me.

I got ubuntu installed myself but I am having troubles getting my controller to work in bluetooth. I also can't seem to use "aptitude" command to install any packages, it says 0 are available.

Ya right now I'm trying to install the Wi-Fi but it's not working... I type in the commands in order just like it says or whatever and most of them come up with errors :(

    Why can't things just work?
