Just rec'd 32gb touch -- update question

    Hello...what a great father's day...just received a 32gb touch! Before I open it, I have a question:

    How do I know if it has the latest s/w update? It was purchased a few weeks ago. If there is a recent update, should I return it for a new one that may have the update?

    Anything else I should do before I unwrap this baby?

    no the ipod should have the update there is not much you need to know i would just open it

    Your iPod receives software and firmware updates automatically via iTunes. When there is an available update, it will tell you the first time you plug in your iPod via USB after the update has been made available, and if you choose to install the update, it will automatically download it and install it for you. No need to return it to the store.
