erm right. London is too expensive to travel to for work for the day, far too expensive a place, but i suppose some people have to live there or visit there
I think you're what they call "easily pleased" Did you try the Victoria line? Stinks, its bumpy, and it's louder that a rock concert but hey - anything's an advance on the US ;-) DON'T COME HERE, WE BITE!! -just kidding, glad you had a laugh ;-)
Lord, I would love to go to London. You guys have so much history; all of europe has. You have all this art and architecture the likes of which we'll never see here in the states. I haven't been to europe in twenty years but I remeber just being awe-struck at so very much that I saw....just the cathedrals alone....these massive structures that took five and six hundred years to build...twice as long as our nation is old to build a church and with the most primitive of technology. I guess, like everything else, when you live in the middle of it all, it becomes commonplace but when I was there, it was like going to a whole new world...we've got nothing like those things here; we have the corner on skyscrapers here but they're just big unattractive hunks of steel and concrete by comparison. You guys have such neat stuff surrounding you over there! I have heard that London is one of the most expensive cities in the world though.
Similar to me, I lived in Australia for 13 years. Then I moved to Germany and man, This was an Improvement! There is so much history here (Gerry) there is a castle around every corner. I have lived in Australia, USA and Germany. I would have to say Germany is collectively the best, And the trains here are the among best I have encountered. They Have ICE's [Inter City Express] trains here that can reach the speed of 400km per hour. [250 miles] Which is 100 miles faster then the Amtrak of the US, But I'm a train fanatic... Anyway, In conclusion: Europe is cool
i went on the custom house and canada wharf lines alot stratford and some other ones it was funny cause 1 of my friends pretended to jump in front of a train got in HUGE TROUBLE
The Amtrak, Yep, I remember I threw half a watermelon at one in Chicago Illinois when i was like 9. It was awesome.
i was in Germany France and England AND MENY MORE COUNTRYS for 3.5 years starting in 1961... and when i was there i bought a old Mercedes-Benz,{1936)i wish i still had.. it would be worth a ton of money..
