I recently purchased a JVC AV-32s575 32" flat screen television. The picture quality isn't what it should be. Colors appear to be fine. There is no single spots of distortion. The probelm is in the sharpness/clarity of whites, especially when writing on the screen appears. Text is very fuzzy and hard to read. This is with all inputs - Xbox, DVD, and cable. This set was purchased at a closeout, so I can't take it back. The set is just under 1 year old, but warranty does not appear to be in effect due to where I purchased it - again a closeout. My question is this: Can a TV tech come out and sharpen the picture? Yes, I have adjusted the sharpness via the menu and it makes little difference. Is there something that typically can be done in the situation, or is the tech going to say the tube is going? Thanks!
on a crt tv the sharpness is not as good as other types of tv's so unless this is a problem that is getting worse you may need to just try in the nenu yourself but yes a tech can do some work but mainly with colors and hue and grey lines but maybe more money than buying a new hdtv
