My Tv set screen gone to flicker, showing lines and got red and green lights blinking and at once got black. Its a JVC HD-61Z585PA D-ILA TV. Called the JVC service but couldn't get much support. I know JVC is supposed to be a good brand, but they are not giving us any satisfaction when we call them. What to do????????? Do help me please, waiting for your response. Thanks
It sounds like you are having bad lamp. Try to take the lamp out and reseat it. then check what happens? If still shows the same symptoms then go for a new JVC Replacement Lamp. Good Luck!
It sounds like you need a new lamp. When the lights are blinking in the front and the picture is getting dim, that's usually a sign the lamp is dying. A new lamp will cost you around $160. Its a Replacement D-ILA TV Lamp TS-CL110UAA TS-CL110U. Replacing it is pretty easy. You just need to unscrew a few screws in the back and the lamp area pulls right out.

The lamps on most DLP's/LCD's are heavily dependent on elevation, tempature, and type of viewing on your television. if 5 or more years have gone to have this set then go for replacing it like mine.
I have had my JVC and got the same problem... so I replaced it and got Samsung. Its good and cool. JVC was also good but after spending this much years you should go for replacing it.
