is anyone having trouble with kazaa, i TRY TO DOWNLOAD SONGS AND THE SONGS COME UP WRONG SONGS BY WRONG ARTISTS.
I would not use kazaa for the simple fact that it is FULL of fake and corrupted files. Try emule, dc++, irc, bt, etc etc.
I don't know why people are so anti kazaa when it comes to audio files..I can usually find songs without problems, (ahem! songs that I want to preview before purchasing the CD ofcourse!) I'm not saying I never have the occasional problem but generally I prefer kazaa(lite)to anything else for finding songs. So I would say, stick with it. BEVDAVIES: I dont know which version of kazaa you have, but I use kazaa-lite, it has a filter in the PREFERENCES section (I suppose all versions do) which can filter out potentially bogus files. I don't know how effective it is but like I say, I rarely have problems with kazaa-lite as far as audio files are concerned.. Video and Software files...now thats a different story and I stay well away from those in kazaa-lite.
I have to agree with MarMart that kazaa lite is pretty good for getting songs. However, songs are about the only thing use kazaa lite for. Everything else I use overnet/IRC. Basically I can find a working song that I want on Kazaa lite faster than I can try to wait for overnet to connect and download or wait in que on the irc. But like I said this only the case for songs (and porn.)

KaZaa ia dead, has been for a long time! There are people being paid to spread bogus files around the network! My suggestion now would be AresGalaxy P2P for anyone who just likes getting the odd mp3 here and there

In kazaa-lite underneath the "search" field there are are your file type options "video" "images" "software" etc...just underneath there there is a "search filter" link. Click on that and it brings up the "options menu" and straight to the "filter" tab. I'm not saying its a reliable filter or that bogus, virused files wont get through, but like I said, I'm usually successful in finding what I want, not always but more often than not. If u do have kazaa media desktop (KDM) I suggest you unistall it, use spybot and adaware to get rid of the sh** left behind and then look for kazaa-lite (which I use) or the new ones like "resurrection" Mart

KaZaa is crap to say the least!!! Spent hours downloading songs in the past only to find out either it was the wrong song or the right song with the sound of a modem or something like that half way through. Totally pointless and extremely annoying!!!! Try this site, i haven't had any problems whatsoever. It's the best file sharing site i have ever come across and it's free and has no popups. It's only free because of donations that they recieve from the users. So make sure and put your hand in your pocket or the freeness of the site from popups could come to an end. kazaa is just a pice of crap for anything other then very popular songs and p0rn, but im not into ether of those. i did a little reached a while back having a search run on kazaa and on kazaa lite and on lite it came up with more stuff and the downloads werer slitly quicker. you can get it from www.oldversion.com (there may be an S at the end, im not sure) its 2.71 but its better then kazaa. the power of k-lite is there is no adware or gator or Geniva (yeah i call it that because nether one really works*) network. *I sencerly apoplgise to any genivans
i use kazaa for rare programs and thats about it.....cant really use IRC for that. IRC is all 0day stuff which is great for 0day stuff . Oh and btw I use KLite Ressurection seeing as how KaZaA will seriously wreck your computer with spyware and stuff....
Shot the only thing i dont like about kazaa is the illegal porn thatb is spread on it and yeah hard to fing software can be free in kazaa i actually got <removed by moderator> free in kazaa i aldo get the game maker a software that actually helps ya back up and burn GC games yeah it does believe me its the famous PRODG application although i havent even install it yet i got free anime man its the best it has lots of viruses but its alright just dont download stuff that its less than 2 kb as a wrote later i will write again kazaalite will live forever Maria=)
