what like the dvd-r's? I haven't had a problem with them in the past and it's a spool of 100, there's like 30 left....
You got a bunch of KEY MEDIUM ERROR in your log, Princo isnt the best stuff you can use. Even if one spool worked, the next might not. You were burning kinda slow at 2x, you could up it to 4x and be ok. You might want to change your target size to 4300 in nero instead of the 4465 you were using, (which nero defaults to unless you change it). Try Verbatim or media that says made in japan. I couldnt figure out your firmware version, but you might look for an update at the manufacturers website as i didnt see it listed here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces And just one last thing. I never use verification. You cant change what has already been burnt, and the best way to detect errors for me is the watch the thing. So try some with verification off, and see if they make it. If not, change media to something suggested.
Those errors show your drive is having problems reading the disks after burning. This generally means a media (disk) problem. Have you tried playing the disks in a player? Your log says the disk was burned sucessfully, it just can verify (read) the disk correctly. You can try cleaning your drive with a CD/DVD Cleaner (looks like a regular cd or dvd but has brushes on the underside, about $5.00 us anywhere) and blowing it out with canned air. This will remove any dust on your laser. How long have you had the spool of 100(or, how old are the disks)?
As MaxBurn says, I also turned off verification. If I want to verify the burn, I either play it or run Nero's CD/DVD Speed test on the disk.
well the disks are kinda old but i don't think it would be them...the i've been burning frequently, at least twice a week, and the disks immediately before them were fine...and i tried playing it in my laptop and it gets to a point then says there is an error and quits
@TyRock22, I cant see the point in other members trying to help you...2 members(both who know their stuff) have already told you your discs are poor quality but you wont accept the fact. For what it's worth...my contribution to this thread Your discs are crap!!
if my discs are crap then explain to me how the first 70 discs in the spool worked fine and the last 5 have just been terrible?
When you use less than good quality discs, anything can happen. A spool of 100 might burn 75 great, and fail the last 25 easily. The only way to rule out bad media is to try good media. You dont have to buy 100 of them, try just a few of the suggested good quality discs. For me that means Verbatim, or TY disc, sometimes some Sony discs work ok for me also. Your log kept saying Medium Error, and for whatever reason, your system disliked your discs. Update firmware in your burner, and switch to some good quality discs. IF you still have a problem after that, post another nero burn log, and we will see what is still giving you problems. The only way we can remotely fix a problem is by offering suggestions. It is always up to you if you want to try them out. If you never get past suggestion number one, i can't rule out suggestion number one wasn't the whole problem. As i said, these are only suggestions, but they seem to work for most people who try them. We can throw up all kinds of theories, but nothing will happen until something changes in your system.
