    thread teleported to Nero forum

and as i've said in your other threads, keep replies about this problem in THIS thread, no more spawning numerous other threads, at the very least it's gonna stop ppl wanting to help you.

    - follow nasayin's advise there, and read this 'sticky' (at the top of this forum page) if you like - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/317495
Basically Nero's 6.6.1.4 update is crap and buggy, the latest proven update is the previous update, 6.6.0.18

    - firmware is at KS0B now so you're one version behind - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2056 however your existing discs are being recognised by the current version of firmware you have, so it's something to keep in mind for another time, ie if you buy different discs that aren't catered for in the existing firmware.

edit- judging by the rest of the logfile, maybe you do need to update the firmware after all, however you should still get some decent discs instead of those awful Prodiscs

    - 384MB isn't a huge amount of memory to start with, you're gonna have to keep an eye on memory usage prior to ALL burning to make sure you have sufficient memory. make sure to close down as many programs as you can prior to burning; also no multitasking during burning (in case you do)

    - as your burner is internal to the PC, that question mark is saying your ATAPI drivers aren't loaded correctly, try to fix via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

    - i can see you're copying from a dual layer disc (that only has 3GB of data on it - a waste of a dual layer disc) to a single layer disc

    - not much good quality, those Prodiscs, you should use decent discs in future. also this paragraph is the clue to whether or not your burners' firmware can recognise the discs. (For future reference if newer discs you buy are not catered for in the firmware, you'd just get the first line, not all 3 lines here).

    - that's strange, as per previous comment, the discs are definitely recognised by the firmware. Try some decent quality discs after all...

    - see previous comment

    - see previous comment

    - good grief!, 16x and for doing 'on the fly' copying, all with only 384MB memory to start with. try 4x

    - InCD is Nero's horrid 'packet writing software', uninstall Nero then uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools, then reinstall Nero WITHOUT installing InCD.

Also, the ATAPI drivers are supposed to be listed in this section, sort them out as i've listed above and they'll appear in this section, fix as i've mentioned further up my reply, ie via http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

Hi, lol, took me ages to sift thru that log, i'm a little out of practice, and to think i did this on most logfiles in the Nero forum for a year solid, no wonder i can't go near logfiles much these days :p

    @Saltgrass -

the problem looks to be solved, we're just waiting for original poster to come back..

however in answer to your question, his/her devices are set as follows -

    - the hard drive is on Primary IDE channel, set to Primary Master
    - the burner is on Secondary IDE channel, set to Primary Slave
