I have tried to convert the movie, Elf in AVI format to DVD (audio and Video filese)so that I can burn it. The movie in AVI format plays on Windows Media Player, both sound and video. I have converted the file to DVD with, The FilmMachine, WinAvi and CovertXtoDVD (I believe that is the name of the program) and in each instance the video comes out great but I get no sound when I play the converted file with Windows Media Player. I have not burned the file as I figure it will have no sound. Does anyone have a suggestion or idea what is going wrong?
Winavi works with most audio formats. So if you're not getting any sound, you may first try use a different media player (e.g. Media Player Classic) to check. If still no, then maybe you don't have all the necessary codecs. In that case, try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version): http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm Good luck!
