Hello everyone, I'm definitely new at this, so I am not familiar with what to check for when a burn fails. I've been having problems with coaters lately and I though my problem was solved after I purchased a different brand of Media. (When from uisng Memorex to Verbatim + R DL 2.4X up to 8x Speed)After I burned succesfully 5 Verbatim discs, I'm again having "burn fails". Could someone anylize my log and let me know what I'm doing wrong or if I have the Nero set up wrong? Thank you guys very much

    Hi howdou1it
Not a whole heck of alot wrong. Firmware up to date, good amount of memory.
From the log though it looks like the drive doesn't fully recognize the dl disc. Only shows that you are using a [/i]DVD+R9 Double Layer[/i].
No media code for the verbs listed either.

Nero is failing burning to the 2nd layer.

    Here's 2 suggestions:
Roxio doesn't always play well w/ Nero.
Uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool to remove all traces.
    http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/EE6000061
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

Try ImgBurn(free) for burning to dual layer:
    http://imgburn.com
Since the files are not an iso you'll need to use the build mode to burn to DVD. Here's a guide:
    http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1780

Try that and keep us posted.

Hopefully that will do the trick for you.
DL coasters are a little to rich for me :0)

Keep us posted on the outcome - good, bad or otherwise.
