I APOLOGIZE IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG FORUM Hey all, Any of these hex-codes mean anything to anyone? Anytime I try and use a DVD burning program - DVD XCOPY XPRESS and DVD DeCrypter specifically- after a few minutes I get a BSOD with the following information (roughly, I just really mention the important parts)... A problem has been detected and windows needs to be shut down to prevent damage to your computer. KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE.ERROR Check all hardware and software blah blah blah Beginning Dump of Physical Memory Technical information: Stop: 0X0000007A, 0XC03DD334, 0XC000000E, 0XF74CD642, 0X5D5A5860 ftdisk.sys-address F74CD642 Base at F74C3000 Date Stamp 3b7d8419 So far I have uninstaled any software that I have put on recently, which was only a couple of things but I have yet to check things like IDE cables or memory. Just wanted to see if I should go ahead with this hardware wise or if its something simple like reinstalling a driver.
Only guessing, but that might be referring to the Hard Drive. I would post this in 'Other PC Hardware' to start and meantime find some memory and HD diagnostics. The fact that it only happens during burning may mean that the need for RAM or Virtual (HD memory) during the process is pushing your system to the edge.
