I have put in the new keys still no channels. do I need to reset when I put in the new keys? or rescan? Do I need to do anything when I put in the NEW KEYS? please need some help.
Installing new keys shouldn't upset your channel list in any way. Installing a new bin file does in some cases require a re scan. If you are sure your keys are correct then you should have picture. Most receivers have a new bin out to auto roll the keys to the proper set automatically. Its easier to install the file you need and let the receiver find the keys for you properly. It usually takes about 5 minutes to roll to the correct keys. If you still have an older bin file installed that doesn't have the correct auto roll update, then you need to shut off the auto roll feature in the menu and then enter the keys after its off. The wrong bin file will try to auto roll the keys but they won't be correct. That means no picture. Jerry
