Have you tried to rip this movie with anything other than Shrink or Nero?

The entire PC shutting down is weird. Before doing anything crazy, try to rip the disc with another program like DVDFab, VOBB, Decryptor or CloneDVD.

I hardly use Nero, so I may be off here, but I think it offers some kinda log so if it fails during the ripping process, if you post that, the Nero users can help.

Try ripping with another prog as Mr_Pink suggested.
Shrink is pretty CPU intensive and this one will definitely put it to the test with the amount of compression.
Your pc could be overheating so make sure your not multi tasking and shut down any unneccesary programs.
You should also make sure there's airflow and the fans are clear.

I don't think the problem is an encryption (if it were, Shrink would close but not the entire PC) thing. It might just be Shrink, like Binkie said.

We need some answers from Fezz though! lol

Yep no copy protection problem on this one - Shrink alone can handle it. Now the compression is another story.
It will compress it to fit to a single layer but it's probably working over time :)

So it still shuts the pc down? Is this the only movie it happens with?
Sounds like it's overheating or could be conflict going on.
