I have 2 network cards on my computer, well 3 if you count the onboard one. My kingston EtherRX KNE111 TX Ethernet adapter, which I HAD my internet connection run to via linksys router. I HAD my XBOX run out of my 2cd PCI card, my Linksys NC100. Well the xbox isn't an issue here, my internet started "crawling" all of the sudden, my connection speed is 1Mb/sec, and I was running slower than dial up. Well, after by passing my router my connection went back to normal. Okay, so I have a router problem, but the issue there was the secondary computer run off that router had no issues. I plugged the router back in, same scenario. My main computer's net runs slow.. My other, quick and normal. So I started process of elimination and went through a few different solutions before I plugged the line into my Linksys card. Bang. Issue fixed. I'm just terrible perplexed as to what compatibility problem arose with my card after 1 year of no issues. Does anyone have any ideas? Comments? Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks, but the driver there is pre-windows XP, and the install software (DOS based) only has Windows NT, 2000, and before installs, well I selected 2000, since of my knowledge that is the closest thing to XP, and it said that it is one of 2ks default drivers. Same for NT. Plus it wouldn't "recognize" my card because "NT does not support that function."
damn, well i know its not the best advicei n the world but iwould just buy a new nic card as they are that expensive, i brought one for under £10 the last time in 2003 so bound to have gone down.
Yeah that's what I'm gonna do. It's just weird that it works without the router hooked up. A new Linksys card like the one I have that works only costs about 14 bucks here.
