i,ve not long since bought the kryptview and re,flashed with the latest firmware sucsessfully and get most or all channels. Is it possible to increase signal strength? as half the transponders have good signal and quality around 80%.While the other half is pretty poor s56%-q60 and i get loss of sound and freezing pic on these channels.i believe i have correct net id hartlepool 00010 for n-l pure, and all connections seem fine, I,ve done a forum search and cant find any solution in other posts regarding signal issues...

If you have a provider box check in menu to get your correct NET-ID. If you are not paying for
basic TV package your signal strength may be capped for B/B only. You could buy a signal
attenuator to boost signal, but try to avoid this avenue if you can

i pay for up to 20 meg bb so wouldn,t of thought my services would of been capped and it seems strange that half of the channels signal is very good whilst the other half is poor.i dont have a subbed stb to find correct net id but have used from the list available of the site and when instaling firmware it is the only one that comes up...

NET-ID options only show after you select network & hit GREEN during auto-scan. Have another
look at SITE NET-ID list & try other ID's that are near your location. Some providers do cap
signal strength if you don't pay for TV.

HI, I've just bought the kryptview a780 and all channels are scrambled. Do you have to link to computer and download firmware before setting up? I thought it was just plug in, scan and go?
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks

Yes you must flash with firmware & you must connect box LAN to router. Have a read of thread
Kryptview updating & scanning tutorial on this forum. All you need is there.

get the correct Net Id from your providers box and make sure when you are scanning you are scanning from your main feed

thanx for replies, i am using correct net id & using main feed. think may be down to tuner in the box seen one or two posts on this and other forums questioning them, and also the area im in.some of the channels with weaker signal are fine but others like film channels freeze or loose pic altogether maybe cause there more popular.i,ve had a couple of eurovox,s before without any problems regarding signal issues,i know thats irelevant as theres plenty of different things that could contribute. but can,t complain got a lot more tv than for a while...thanx again

i set up a box for a friend & they had the same problem as you, ch5 sky sports not watchable & the signal strength was a lot lower on these. i read on a previous reply about trying a signal attenuator, i had one fitted to my virgin box so i fitted it to my friends box & it sorted out the problem straight away.it screws to the back of the box & then screw in the cable to it.they have them on ebay for 1.99 i hope this helps.
