    are there any clones of these boxes and are they safe to leave on standby ie overheating cheers

    there is no clones out
    and yes you can leave it on standby over night it helps update if frequency changes, you get any extra channels,ect...

    That is the idea of the Standby scanning feature leave on standby in case freq change

    there where never any Kryptview clones and not likely either ;)

    one other question i have heard conficting reports that your ip can trace you when useing k780 i thought it was same as eurobox where they could not your thoughts on this would be helpful thanks again

    well you are using your broadband!
    but just look at what happened in dublin during last week
    we'll all know in a bit if were getting done ha ha lol

    there is NO talk back feature as is what you are talking about but your ip has to connect with a server somewhere out there but i have been assured that its well out of harms way

    A starview server was caught in dublin last week

    the file you are uploading, when you downloaded it to desktop did you extract it with winrar or winzip or similar
    once its on desktop, then get loader and "upload file to loader" and then download it to box

    are you talking the file is coming up as bin file or the "loader"?

    No the file ,the loader is ok no problem but the file are,bcz ihave got winrar but is not helping.

    Man im not getting it ,i have winrar i have done as u said,now if i wanna download to box its saying downloading is not requested,i dont know what is next..

    are you following the guide below and are you uploading the file to the loader where it says "open" on the guide, and says "look in" choose the file from desktop you just saved,
    as in upload to loader and download to box

    sorry i have done as you said ,the only thing i can see if i wanna download to the BOX this message coming up STB Editor saying DOWNLOADING IS NOT REQUESTED]I DONT KNOW.

    i hate to fob any1 off to someone else but it has been over a year since i flashed 1 of these boxes
    but the best person id recommend would be E45
    i just dont understand it myself why it wont flash for ya, if all the cables are in proper and tight (rs232 cable) you are on "com port 1" like in guide, file is uploaded to LOADER
    is the box turned on when flashing,
