To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions: 1. Go to the Start Menu 2. Right click on "My Computer" 3. Select "Properties" 4. Click on the "Hardware" tab 5. Click on "Device Manager" 6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)" 7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.) 8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port. 9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected If you need drivers go here http://www.gilsson.com/usb_drivers_download.htm Follow my advice to step 7. Locate your USB Adapter (port *) Right click on that port and select properties. Then select port settings, then select advanced. At the bottom of that tab will be a drop down box with the port selected (port * in your case). Use the drop down to select another port (eg 1, 2 or 3). If the port you want to use is already allocated to something else, you can use the same procedure to reassign that port after you have finished. Save the selections in the usual way. The USB converter will be permanently assigned to the port you selected.
I would'nt buy any box at the mo,whether in uk or ireland. As soon as N3 kicks in (ireland) no box will work!dunno if they will use N3 in uk or go straight to iptv, either way no box will work.
Where as I agee with the first part, I wouldn't personally buy one myself at the moment but thats just me, I would disagree with the rest as nobody knows what will be compatible with what when that happens at the moment mate. Oh as far am I'm aware the Uk are under the same umbrella meaning what happened in Ireland will be replacated in uk.
quite possible but no UPC in the uk they are 3 different providers and it will be quite some time before that gets there and if the can get into n2 whats to say n3 wont be the same nobody knows til it happens
i wish mate i was i would be loaded at this stage i am not asking anyone to buy all im suggesting is a safe place thats all im sorry if you seem to have a problem with this but that is your problem and not mine maybe you should suggest a place then if you are that concerned then they will have a choice
Could you suggest a place for me please fergus... I'm in Dublin and I think I'starting to get withdrawal syndrome.....
Why would anybody want to buy any type of box for use in ireland? N3 will be implemented anytime soon. i know the kryptviews are working on N1/N2 but i highly doubt they will work with the new N3....save your money until you know the score,if you're missing it that bad just subscribe cos my thinking it will all be gone by the end of this month.
It is lampy considering no-one knows what will happen when full implementation occurs! Will hold onto my cash for the next couple months and watch everyone going mental.... sjls it's a temporary N2 fix thats why.
if all other are failing to work and the kryptview is, why not. 80 euro is not that much to fork out or is it.
