kryptview firware

    hi I'm having problems setting up my kyrptview, can someone help me pls? have followed links in eamos lib etc and downloaded something but now i'm at a loss, pls bear in mind i'm a complete novice so sorry but explaination will have to be simple and step by step thanks in advance

    ell30 download the kyptview_arnet_loading_instructions[1].zip in eamos library great guide and very easy to follow.

    The files are compressed using Winrar, you will have to download it to unzip the files you need!

    Sorry guys but i feel like a right thicko- have followed all the links and downloaded a file and saved to a folder on my pc, i think i'm suppossed to have something that looks like a satalite ?? but all i have is arnet loading instructions and file 19032009 bin file so what do i do now ??

    have used this already-downloaded file and when it askes if i want to run or save file i saved as run tells me its not safe, and thats where i'm up to now.

    save the file first,then when you have the bin file downloaded then open the loader(never mind what windows tells you).

    so far so good i've gotten a bit fuuther but i've hit another snag got as far as stb editor and it tells me cant open serial port com 1 and i've downloaded winrar, i'm at end of my teather here as i'm sure you guys are from listening to me, sorry

    still no further with putting firmware on my kyrptview i get as code send and when i try to download bin file it tells me cant open seriel port com 1 please check if the com port has the following paramenters baud rate 115200 bps parity no parity data byte 8bit/data stop bit 1, i'm totally lost and have been at this all day please help me if you can

    Are you using vista?if so forget it and try and find a pc with xp preferably with a serial port.

    open up control panel on your computer.click on system.open up device manager.when that opens u should see your cable on the list think it says com beside it.click in there and it should tell you what com its on.change the kryptview loader to whatever com it says it on.hope this helps

    hi i did that and i have 2 things that say com beside them 1 and 2 tried changing the loader to both of these and both say file size is zero !!! i'm on pc with xp

    when you change the com to whatever it says make sure you click open on the loader and open up the bin file

    i love the dancing badgers on that site but alas it doesnt help me with my kyrptview lol still stuck, going to give it to kids to play footie with in min!!

    ok mate from the start.you already have both loader and firmware saved on your computer.so open up the loader.then open control panel.then system then device manager.then on the list that opens go down to ports(com&lpt)click that and your cable should come up.should say what come its on beside it.if not click into it.now when the new box opens click the port setting tab.then click advanced and see what com port number it is.then open up your loader.click download and change the port to whatever the other one said.then click open on the loader and find you bin file that you saved.then click start.

    my port is set to com 1 and so is the loader but when i try to download is says file size is zero, sorry if i'm trying everyones patience i really appreciate the help

    you definitly have the right firware downloaded have ye and your using a null modem cable?
