    Hi all,

i have an Arnet 700C - absolutely no problems but i have 2 questions. One is to widen my knowledge of digi boxes and one is a technical question.

First, what is the legitimate use of a Kryptview box. If i had to explain to my children, can someone give me a explanation.

Second, can i connect the Kryptview box to my analogue portable TV and pick up freeto air channels. Does it have built in recievers etc?

    Many thanks

Legilimate use of a kryptview is to view free to air digital[cable tv] channels and if connected to your portable tv will pick up free to air digital channels as long as its connected to a live [cable] feed. This is my read on it,if Im mistaken we will soon find out.

    There isn't any legitimate use.

Its not legal to connect the box to the cable line, even if the box firmware has not been changed and you can only view the real FTA channels.

There is no FTA in cable, only satellite.

Its legal to buy/sell/own the boxes, but its not legal to connect them to the cable line for any reason.
