hey guys.. i am going to buy a kryptview artnet as i heard they are the best box out at the moment.. i found this box here http://www.tailor-madecircuits.com/...id=47&osCsid=d28335ea4ab7385a8d51a339f30de0c0 and so far i know its not flashed ive tried to look everywhere on how to flash these boxes.. but can you lots help me with instructions and the files to updates this box.. cheers.. ps.. is the site ok as i do not know if there are clones of this box as yet
hey there - yeah I just got one of these boxes for use in Dublin - easy to flash and should come with CD with latest firware, loader and instructions on it - you'll need a PC or laptop with a com port - one thing though - I didn't get the 2 AAA batteries for the remote so you may want to have these to hand before you un-pack the Arnet. A little tricky to install for me being a complete newbie but after a while I muddled through and got up and running - brilliant picture and all unlocked - The EPG isn't working in Dublin yet but that's supposed to be sorted in a firmware upgrade soon... - but then again i don't know where you are so that may not matter too much....Overall good box IMO have fun....
hey.. thanks mate..i dont have a com port on my pc is it able to update via a usb to com port as i have done this with my eurovox.. btw i am in london and i heard that on this box it uses the exact same numbers as v****n does..thats reallly good.. and what if it doesnt come with a cd i am newbie at this and is the site above realiable you reckon?
I bought mine on ebay so can't comment on the above site but I've seen TMC on several sat/cable forums so I reckon its ok - you'll find loads of comments and useful hints from TMC so looks should be reliable. As for updating it - yeah - as far as I know it'll work over USB but you'll need a USB to comm adapter cos the connector at teh back or the Arn*t is RS232....
