Hi there one and all. I have recently updated my Kryptview box with the latest (I think)update (29.11.08). All the channels have come back, and working fine. So good news there. I have noticed since the update, that the box keeps "freezing" more often. It is a simple power down and power back up to restore. It just seems to occur more often since the update, and it's damned annoying. Could anyone shed some light on this, or is it just me. Regards, Paul.
Think it applies to all the Kryptviews...Ive flashed 8 of these for other people using the 29/11/08 and the 28/11/08 updates..keep knocking out every four or five hours. Before the updated firmware was installed they maybe knocked off once or twice a week Happy new Year Peter
All four of my KV's used to do this on a regular basis, both before and after the 29.11.08 update. I seem to have cured mine by replacing all home-made cables with factory made ones (Hint: press INFO and look at the S &Q guages ... if they are bouncing around like crazy, check your cables) 18 days now and not a single KV box locking up
hi got a kryptview for the world of it cant up date it got the programe and bin file but says not reading it or to small of a file help ps please whats the code for secret menu please asp
When updating the your box open up the loader program with bin file and set it going. Straight after that on your remote press the red button twice then the standbye button and the software will load onto the kryptview box. This should sort out your problem. If not the bin file must be incorrect.
@ mark0288 First off, make sure your box is on standby and NOT showing any channel number in the display. When you are attempting to flash the KV, you MUST do the red, red, standby sequence quickly or you get the "download not requested" message. Secret menu? Try channel 6001
topcat96 thanks got it to flash but think i gave it a bad flash notting working and it wont turn of now
Goto digital chaos for the software you need or download the chatterbox toolbar which is the best out there for the software you need. Good luck!!!!!!!!
