I'm having some problems trying to install this game onto my computer. While, yes, it is abandonware, and I could get a ripped copy to run on ScummVM, I prefer to install it straight from the full CD (sorry...I like voices with my games). I have tried using DosBox to install it, and while that worked, it would not work when I tried to use ScumVM to install it, and worse when I used DosBox, it told me Microsoft Windows had to be installed.

I am aware that running Vista 64-bit is part of the problem, but still, is there anyway to install the entire CD to get it to run correctly? If not then is there a way I can use a ripped copy, and then extract the voice files so that I can at least have semi-compatibility?

wow this is difficult, so what you're saying is that you want to play a game which requires you to install scummvm, which requires dosbox, which is partially incompatible. lol

i have no experince with scummvm, although i'd like to try it on mobile to play curse of monkey island, it just seems difficult and unclear so i didn't download it.

now to help you. can you right click dosbox and select some compatibility for xp option? alternatively, get a fully compatible dosbox.

I presume you don't need a scummvm compatible with vista but instead compatible with dosbox, which would be any because it's dos (get the latest though).

the long winded process should now be possible. since you have the cd, you do own a licence so backups are allowed (i think) so try downloading a fixed version, not necessarily a rip. you can find the complete game in a fixed form. you could try contacting technical support.

i have tried best to understand the problem but i have a feeling i did not completely understand.
