i bought a ds lite about a month or two ago. i noticed one day my L button was not working. i then temporarily fixed it by hitting it on the edge of a table. today it started messing up again and i tried the quick fix, but this time i was not so lucky. It will kind of work like if press it in the right position, but sometimes working isnt good for games like metroid prime where the L button plays an important role. any quick fixes before i pack my lite up for California? thanks for the help in advance

The only thing I can think of may void your warranty.. so proceed at your own risk. You will need the Triwing screwdriver to do it.. and basically all you do is open it up and inspect it for damage or foreign objects. Opening it up, though, will void your warranty.. so its best just to start packing. Sucks man :(

You hit it against the edge of a table?! If anything, that'd make things worse...

Should've bought an extended warranty with it... Or, actually use Nintendo warranty and ship it off to them. However, if they determine the cause to be abuse (table whack for example), then they may want to charge you for the repair.
