Elite® L4S5MG3 motherboard running 2.1 ghz Intel, GeForce 4MX video, 256MB DDR, XP.
Daughter was on machine said it locked up in the middle of what she was doing, cold shut down, restarted and machine won't post. Never had problems with freeze up before. Thinking power supply, replaced power supply with brand new one. Did not solve the issue. Pulled video card, but difficult to troubleshoot that due to OB video also. Still would not post. Pulled memory, once I did that it DID alert me to "no memory installed" so that has hopefully ruled out the mobo, SO possible memory issue?? or proc issue? Proc has vantec ballbearing fan (still spinning) and 1 1/2 inch heatsink and "emergency" overheating fan system with alarms. Need advice asap...
    Thanks!

check the can shaped objects on the motherboard as they are capacitors. see that they are flat topped not domed.
